Abstract :
Time-domain terahertz spectroscopic studies of the quasi-one-dimensional material PtI(en) reveal a highly anisotropic complex refractive index, including a strongly polarized infrared-active phonon absorption at 2.24 THz corresponding to modulation of the charge-density-wave structure.
