Abstract :
In this technical note, we will consider an isomorphic metric based transformation for continuous time systems with state variables in Rn. The transformation enables the consideration of a non-quadratic performance criterion on the state and compensator signal based upon a newly formed state space realization. Global asymptotic stability is guaranteed for the compensation structure chosen via a continuity argument on the resulting closed loop state dependent plant matrix. This note is concluded with a simple example, and the results appear encouraging for consideration of general applications
