Abstract
Disconnected operation is an important research topic in mobile computing area. This paper provides two methods to improve the performance of disconnected operation. These methods are: submitting tentative transaction by probability; transferring transaction log in groups. In the case of very high conflict frequency, the method to submit tentative transactions according to conflict probability can be used. In long tentative transactions, if the position of conflict data item is in the front part of the tentative transaction log, the method of transferring tentative transactions in groups can be used. It can reduce the communication cost and avoid unnecessary reexecution of tentative transactions that would be doomed to abort, so it improves the overall performance of disconnection operation. This paper also compares and analyzes their performance.
