Abstract
Summary from only given. This work describes an approach to designing diode pumped pulsed lasers that meet requirements of several applications in both the IR and UV ranges using nonlinear Raman and frequency conversion. To generate the 305.7 nm line, we used a master oscillator (MO)-power amplifier (PA) scheme at the fundamental wavelength of a Nd:YAlO/sub 3/ laser. The MO was Q-switched with a Cr:YAG saturable absorber and longitudinally pumped with a single quasi-CW diode bar.
