Abstract :
This paper presents a design automation tool for the generation of signal filters for low-power applications. The tool requires a set of functional filter specifications and generates an optimized circuit for filters in a wide range of frequencies. Auxiliary circuits (biasing circuits, common-mode feedback) are also sized and integrated with the main circuit. The tool allows the addition of new types of components and the modification of existing ones. It works with different technologies. Two filters are designed using the tool. Simulation results indicate that the filter tool has the desired functionality.
