Abstract
After deducing the spectral dyadic Green´s function of left-hand stratified media(LHSM), its slow convergence characteristic is analyzed and validated. In order to calculate the spatial Green´s function of LHSM accurately using discrete complex image method (DCIM), in this paper, the path of traditional DCIM is modified according to the properties of left-hand material. Some spatial Green´s functions of different parameters are calculated and the numerical results are in good agreement with that obtained by direct numerical integral. So it confirms the correctness and accuracy of new DCIM. Then some microstrip antennas with left-hand stratified media are analyzed and their characteristics such as narrow mainlobe beamwidth and low elevation are obtained.
