  • Abstract
    In this paper, a pattern reconfigurable printed quasi-Yagi antenna with slots in the directors is presented. The simulation results show that the impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna is excellent, and the gain variation within operating bandwidth is relatively small. By controlling the states of the switches, the main beam of the proposed antenna in the xoy plane can be shifted to the one of four angles. The antenna is also fabricated and measured. There is a good agreement between the simulated and measured results. The proposed antenna has the potential for modern wireless communication.
