Abstract
This paper presents a linguistic learning-based fuzzy controller of which learning is accomplished in a sequential manner via an embedded learning mechanism. The systems handled here are characterized by a set of linguistic rules based on the human operator who describes the underlying system model vaguely. The proposed control algorithm incarnates the design procedure adopted by human being through linguistic formulation of the controlled system and learning action during actual execution. Simulations on control of an inverted pendulum are conducted and the results obtained verify that the effective performance of the proposed control architecture
