Abstract
The design and analysis of a novel compact fork-shaped UWB antenna with triple band-notched characteristics are presented in this paper. The measured bandwidth of the proposed antenna occupies about 8.0 GHz covering from 3.0 GHz to 11.0 GHz with triple notched bands of 3.3-3.7 GHz, 5.1-5.3 GHz, and 5.65-5.9 GHz which are achieved by embedding a spade-shaped slot and a curl slotline on the radiating patch as well as adding a separated strip on the front side of the reference UWB antenna. The proposed antenna with an overall dimension of only 24×30 mm2 is successfully simulated, designed and measured, showing broadband matched impedance and stable radiation patterns.
