Abstract :
As for the communication blackout problem encountered by hypersonic vehicles (HSV) due to the presence of plasma sheath. This paper first investigate the physical mechanism of plasma sheath and its interaction with radio wave briefly, and then focus on the relationship of phase shift with maximum plasma density, collision frequency, and the thickness of plasma sheath. Shift Operator FDTD algorithm was used for computation analysis, and a simple plasma sheath simulation model of HSV is also given as consistency and further study of relationship with Mach was made also. All works can be a reference for countermeasures design to against communication signal alteration when wave incident through plasma sheath.
