Abstract :
Modified spontaneous emission from a single-quantum-dot embedded in a small finite-size, photonic-crystal slab waveguide are investigated. We subsequently demonstrate very large Purcell factors that can be exploited to emit efficient single photons ldquoon-chiprdquo.
