Abstract :
Introduces an algorithm for the inversion of the imaging mechanism of underwater bottom topography by synthetic aperture radar. This inversion uses a regularization approach for the smoothing of noisy data and the stabilization of the inverse imaging mechanism. The algorithm allows the estimation of seafloor depth in shallow waters with errors of about 7%
