Abstract
This paper presents a scheduling algorithm of dynamic switch-off WNIC for power saving. How to make sure the switch time for WNIC ´s power mode transition is a crucial issue in the proposed scheduling algorithm. We use grey model to predict idle period for WNIC. A self-adaptive rolling prediction is implemented to improve the accuracy of predicted results by adjusting parameters dynamically. The simulation result shows it works well with good prediction accuracy and small computational capability.
