Abstract :
Composite polarimetric scattering of cuboidal target on sea rough surface are studied in this paper. A composite dihedral corner reflector (DCR) is formed by a sea rough surface and a vertical planar face of a cuboidal target on the sea surface. The polarimetric scattering from the composite DCR is divided into three main components which are direct scattering on the sea rough surface, double scattering on the sea surface from specular reflection on the vertical planar face of the cuboid and double specular reflection on the vertical planar face from direct scattering field on the sea rough surface. A solution of dihedral polarimetric scattering between the sea surface and the planar face of the target is calculated through Kirchhoff approximation. Finally, the properties of the polarized radar cross-section (RCS) of the composite model are investigated and analyzed in different conditions.
