Abstract :
We study an orientation alignment problem using only local information. Due to the absence of a common sense of orientation, orientation alignment problem is distinguished from agreement problem using the information with respect to global coordinate system. A decentralized strategy that achieves convergence to equilibrium points is proposed and analyzed. Under the proposed strategy, final patterns of phase variables are determined from initial values of the states.
