Abstract
Sensors sense their vicinity and deliver sensed data to a data gathering point through a single-or multi-hop routing path. Data-centric routing attempts to reduce duplicate data transmissions by aggregating multiple packets cached for a certain amount of time (i.e., in-network data processing with some transmission delay). However, most of data aggregation technologies assumed that aggregator node has been receiving all of data when it implements the aggregation operation, these methods give larger latency to the transmission of network´s data and affect the accuracy of network.. In this paper, we propose a new In-network differentiated services mechanism, configuring carefully the aggregator node´s aggregation timeout through making use of a new aggregation timing control mechanism, which is to achieve a best trade-off between power efficient and data accuracy.
