Abstract
An optimal scheme, joint signal detection and symbol synchronization, is proposed and a low complexity implementation solution of this scheme is also presented. The optimal scheme is based on cross-correlation of the train sequences. It is suitable for IEEE 802.11a WLAN system. The simulation results show that the performance with proposed method is robust under low SNR to -2dB, and larger frequency offset (20 ppm) and multiple-path channel of 60 ns rms environments.
