Abstract :
As a pushing motor, a Tubular linear motor (TLM) can provide high instantaneous starting thrust. According to the characteristics of the pushing motor, this paper studies the thrust characteristics of tubular linear motor and analyses the starting thrust characteristics in different conditions including: materials of the secondary, length of air-gap and width of the primary tooth. The analysis results provide a foundation for the optimum design of TLM for pushing unit.
