Abstract :
In this paper, pulse radar is used for highway technology. A 2D FDTD model is used to simulate the behavior of such a wideband radar system. According to the numerical results, the depth of the asphalt above the cement can be decided. The optimal distance of the transmitter/receiver unit has is also discussed. Thus, through analyzing the data returning to the receiver, we may ensure that the highway surface is even
