Abstract :
Nowadays the common way for dealing with electromagnetic problems in dispersive media is based on a certain classical model. But it is not accurate enough to set up a general model on the basis of only one approximate model since the natural dispersive media are quite complicated. A piecewise linear composite model is proposed that combines the three general models (i. e., Debye, Lorentz and Drude models). Numerical fitting example for metamaterial proves the correctness and validity of the proposed new model.
