Abstract :
WSNDM is a wireless sensor network protocol for disaster management. The authors have proposed this protocol with an updated hybrid network framework. In this paper, we analyze the performance of this protocol and compare it with well known protocol LEACH, though LEACH protocol does not consider a collapsed base station, which our protocol does. In sensor network, performance is measured by average energy dissipation, system lifetime, successful data delivery and number of live nodes. During our simulation, we consider these performance factors. Our simulation results prove that our protocol WSNDM outperforms this well-known protocol considering two types of distribution for sensor nodes: uniform distribution and skewed distribution.
