Abstract :
Summary from only given. We report on broadening of the optical parametric amplifier (OPA) bandwidth by appropriate modulation of pump field in both space- and time-domain. Data on bandwidth enhancement of a noncollinear, femtosecond continuum seeded OPA will be presented. A method of substantial bandwidth narrowing of mid-IR pulses that relies on a cancel of the chirp in OPA will be presented. Data on generation of near transform limited pulses with bandwidth adjustable within 2-20 cm/sup -1/ and tuning range of 3-11 micrometers will be reported. A new technique allowing to scale-up an output power of chirped pulse OPA will be demonstrated.
