Abstract :
Summary from only given. The pump laser of our optical parametric generator (OPG) is a continuous wave mode-locked picosecond Nd:YVO/sub 4/ oscillator-amplifier system generating 24W of 7 ps pulses at 1.06 /spl mu/m with a repetition rate of 82 MHz. The OPG crystal is a periodically-poled lithium niobate crystal (8 x 0.5 x 55 mm/sup 3/) with a 29.75 /spl mu/m quasi-phase matching (QPM) period and uncoated wedged facets. The crystal was heated to a temperature above 150C to avoid photorefractive damage.
