Abstract :
This article shows an approximate formula and TDIE method to calculate lightning induced over voltage in the time domain. First, this paper reviews the approximate formula of calculating the horizontal electric field from lightning. Compared with other methods, approximate formula has many advantages: simple and fast calculation process, small introduction error. Then, this paper derived the TDIE formula to calculate the lightning induced over voltage. This formula is compared with the FDTD method derived equations. The results show that they have the same form. The TDIE method can effectively solve the complex structure of conductor problem.
