Abstract :
Generation capacity adequacy studies use two-area or multi-area models and available transfer capability to consider transmission limitations in getting emergency capacity assistance from neighboring systems. This paper discusses the role a composite system reliability model could have in an integrated analysis of generation and transmission adequacy.
