            Abstract : 
A novel multicast routing protocol, the region-based multicast routing protocol (RMRP), is proposed for ad hoc networks. RMRP operates in a hybrid proactive/on-demand manner to take advantages of both modes. Simulation results show that it is scalable to support large number of senders, while retains the high efficiency and reliability of ODMRP in highly dynamic environment.
