Abstract
The authors present an algorithm for the estimation of the magnetic sources in the human brain using MRI information. It is difficult to make a complete estimation of the whole brain magnetic sources. But it is known that the neurons exist densely in the cerebral cortex. For this reason, in this preliminary study the authors limit the estimation region to the surface of the cortex. They consider all the cortex surface points as current dipoles, and by using the MUSIC technique they determine the real dipoles. The authors give here the results of their algorithm applied to real human brain data
