Abstract
This paper is a discussion of the designing of a UWB precise positioning sensor network with simple tag structure that we have completed. We first studied object positioning using a UWB sensor network where microcell pattern recognition and energy detection techniques were employed. We then used repeat-pulses TOA and energy detection techniques to design a small, simple, and cheap Tag structure for precise positioning. What has made our work stand out is that we divided the large house into several triangle microcells based on our knowledge from an analysis of base stations´ locations. Our model has been designed in such a manner that more precise arrival time of UWB signal can be obtained from the predefining delay excess time and multipath propagation delay. Simulation results are also given in this paper.
