Abstract
The network communication of EV charging piles management system plays an important part in realizing the intellectualized operation and management. Compared with traditional wired communications, the one based on wireless sensor network (WSN) is more suitable for providing efficient and safe charging service with its peculiar rapid self-organization ability and superior adaptability. A reliable geographic location-aware routing protocol (GLAR) is designed on the basis of in-depth data communication requirements analysis of EV charging piles management system, thus alleviating the “hot spots” problem and realizing the minimum hop routing to some extent. Finally, the optimal routing with performance constraints is determined by routing optimization model. The charging demand of customers is generated by Monte Carlo simulation. Simulation results indicate that GLAR can meet the communication requirements of management system commendably with its average transmission delay and network throughput and scalability through comparing the performances of the GLAR and LEACH applied to the same network.
