Abstract :
This paper studies the generation and performance analysis of digital chaotic PN (Pseudo-noise) sequences. A new continuous chaotic system which is constructed based on the initial Sprott system, is used to generate the PN sequences via DSP (Digital Signal Processor) technology. Moreover, NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) test suite is also applied to the analysis of the PN sequence´s quality by Linux system. Test results of the proposed sequence are given in the form of table, and verified for randomness of the sequence with proportion and P-value which are the criteria of judging the performance of sequence. It shows that the chaos sequence can be used in secure communication in practice.
