Abstract :
This is a summary in support of a presentation by the author on the interactions between distributed power generation (DG) and the high voltage transmission network. It uses the electricity market and commercial arrangements in England and Wales as a context for discussing issues concerning the economic development and operation of the network as distributed generation becomes widespread.
