  • Abstract
    The rapid development of high-speed trains in our country puts forward higher requirements on safety monitoring of railway lines, which provides a new application scenario for the wireless sensor network(WSN). This paper presents a banded topology based on a WSN for the environmental monitoring of high-speed railways. A transmission model is established on the basis of the topology control. Considering the constraint of the wireless sensor´s energy to the deployment mode, and the limitation of the number of sensor nodes under limited energy, a new application scheme is proposed for the safe monitoring of high-speed railway based on wireless sensor networks. A simulation example shows the effectiveness of the scheme.
