Abstract :
This paper presents the software performance analysis using a finite state automation model. A signed real measure of formal languages has been used for quantitative evaluation of the software. This paper extends an earlier model based on a discrete time Markov chain to a semi-Markov process. As an example, a software rejuvenation policy is analyzed using the proposed approach.
