  • Abstract
Using a modulated grating-like surface, referred to as a near-field plate, we experimentally demonstrate focusing of microwave radiation in a pattern that mimics that of a negative-index slab. The near-field platepsilas resolution, of lambda/20, is well beyond the diffraction limit.
