Abstract :
Testing distributed systems and protocols for dependability, fault-tolerance and performance in the real target environment is not usually possible. This is attributed to the cost of setting up a hosting distributed environment and the difficulty of controlling such a dynamic environment. This paper presents a general purpose tool that emulates a distributed networked environment at the application level and gives the user full control over the emulation environment.
