Edens Spa-a company fully owned by the major Italian independent power producer, Edison Spa, was and will be one major player in the "wind market". The paper describes the various aspects (legal, financial, technical, and regulatory) that the business entails, the expansion program-and the related difficulties-of the company and presents some of the implementation that it is carrying out to make wind energy production more "predictable" and therefore more valuable for the generation system.
