Abstract :
We demonstrate a novel metal-dielectric structure called quasi-coplanar waveguide for subwavelength scale confinement and guiding of surface plasmon-polaritons. 2D/3D simulations show that various nanoscale photonic integrated circuit elements can be implemented with the structure.
