Abstract :
A geographical information system (GIS) application with a statistical model has been used to evaluate the magnetic field exposure of a population living near a high-voltage transmission line. The paper presents how the GIS application interacts with the statistical model. Also, two sites have been chosen to validate the model. At these sites, some measurements have been taken and the calculations have been compared with the measurements
