Abstract
This paper presents the current research work on ATHENE - an ontology based visual modeling tool for semantic Web processes. ATHENE has been developed by the University of Applied Sciences, Northwestern, Switzerland as part of the European Commission funded project F.I.T. ATHENE allows users to graphically develop process models and automatically generates the ontology behind the process model. In this paper, we discuss how an explicit base model can be sufficient for modeling editable ontology of services, as an extension of ATHENE. For demonstration purposes we choose OWL-S since it has been predominantly used for grounding Web services.
