Abstract :
In wireless sensor networks with the mobile sink, the sink can join or leave the network at any time. Such mobility of the sink increases the flexibility, but also increases the energy consumption and shortens the network lifetime. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an energy-saving cluster routing algorithm. The proposed algorithm uses the clusters and multi-hop inter-clusters´ routing to save the energy of the whole network. The inter-clusters´ routing will be updated when the sink sends the signal according to its displacement. The analysis and simulation show that this algorithm can save energy and extend the network life cycle effectively.
