  • Abstract
    In this paper, a novel sensor-based path computation scheme (SBPCS) is proposed with the data communication network (DCN) of sensors [1] in GMPLS-controlled Networks. In this scheme, we introduce the Path Computation Element (PCE) into the network to lower the communication burden and compute paths for connections. The external physical factors of the network which are detected by sensors will be considered as constraints in the process of computing paths. Experimental results show the better performances of the GMPLS-controlled network with PCE and the novel path computation scheme in meeting the quality-of-service (QoS) requirements.
