Abstract :
Summary from only given. We have proposed and have built a prototype of a new all-solid-state, diode-pumped, cavity-dumped compact Nd:LiYF/sub 4/ regenerative laser amplifier with a gain of 10/sup 9/ for the OMEGA front-end laser system, which reduces system complexity and gross gain. Here we present details of regenerative design and results of extensive prototype testing.
