Abstract :
At present, the voltage-fed Z-source inverter has widely been investigated, but the current-fed Z-source inverter has not been so well studied in control and modulation strategies. This paper presents a generalized method for establishing an equivalent relationship between modulation patterns being used for voltage-fed Z-source inverter and those possible for current-fed Z-source inverter. This means that the options such as natural sampling modulation based on a triangle carrier and space vector modulation can be implemented for current-fed ZSI with less modification. The space vector modulation method suitable to current-fed ZSI is shown. Simulation results are given and the rationality and feasibility is verified.
