Abstract
Conventional self-driven synchronous rectification schemes (SDSR) can not be applied to DC-DC converters with very low output voltage (below about 2.0 V). In this paper, a novel self-driven synchronous rectification scheme is proposed. This new self-driven scheme solves the problem of the conventional self-driven synchronous rectification schemes by adding a few discrete components to the conventional self-driven schemes. A 300 KHz, 36V to 75V input, 1.5 V/15 A output active clamp forward DC-DC module was built to demonstrate the novel self-driven synchronous rectification scheme.
