  • Abstract
This paper describes the objectives, rationale, implementation and benefits of using Extensible Markup Language (XML) as a test script language in support of a variety of US Army weapon systems. XML provides the ability to implement a simple, flexible, controllable and portable test script language. The use of third party XML parsing and development tools results in decreased test script development times, increased productivity and increased potential for test script reusability and portability.
