Abstract :
The paper presents the magnetic properties of some ferrite nanoparticles (Fe2O3, CoFe2O4 and Fe3O4) used in hybrid biomaterials, showing the difference between the magnetic behaviour of ferrite nanopowder and the bulk one. The samples, measured by the vibrating sample magnetometer VSM-7304 LakeShore include materials composed by ferrite nanoparticles coated with various biopolymers. The results show the superparamagnetic behaviour of the nanoparticles and the effect of the ferrite-polymer coupling.
