Abstract :
This paper addresses modeling beyond the fault path during short circuit analysis. Initial condition boundary matching using pre-fault conditions is used to develop equivalent lateral, load and transformer models for short circuit analysis for grounded and ungrounded portions of the network. These models are easily integrated into a compensation-based method.
