Abstract :
Due to the direct conversion characteristic of matrix converter, the abnormal input voltage conditions influence the operation performance of matrix converter severely. The operation behaviors of matrix converter under input voltage unbalance and short-time voltage sag have been analyzed in this paper. In addition, a feedforward compensation method is presented to improved output performance of matrix converter. Experimental tests have demonstrated the effectiveness of this compensation method.
