Abstract :
Auxiliary Resonant Commutated Pole (ARCP) is a suitable ZVS soft-switching inverter topology in the UPS application. The control strategies may affect the ARCP inverter´s reliability and efficiency performances. This paper compared the fixed timing control and variable timing control strategies for ARCP inverter. Current stress and loss distributions with different controls are given. The evaluation is well verified on a 2 kW/20 kHz ARCP inverter prototype. Experimental efficiency and waveforms with different control strategies are presented.
