Abstract :
In order to solve the torque ripple, a novel direct torque control (DTC) scheme for permanent magnet linear synchronous machine (PMLSM) based on adaptive fuzzy control is proposed in this paper. The proposed control method uses the long stator flux amplitude and the electromagnetic torque errors through an adaptive fuzzy inference system to act on both the amplitude and the angle of the desired reference voltage. Experiment results by using adaptive fuzzy control show that the flux and torque ripples are greatly reduced when compared with those of the conventional direct torque control (DTC), while the quick dynamic torque response of the basic DTC is still retained.
